What Works?

An evening of contemporary dance performed by Curet Performance Project. The company will explore political issues including identity, notions of freedom and resilience through the form of contemporary dance.

Returning to Triskelion Arts for their fourth annual season, Curet Performance Project seeks to impose upon the daring question, what more can dance offer to represent the now? What Works?

The evening will premiere Americana, a dynamic piece with six dancers and live music choreographed by Megan Curet who collaborated with Israel musician Idan Morim. Americanateases out current notions inflicting American society; investigating what represents the now of American-ness?

Americana: things associated with the culture and history of America, especially the United States.

The evening will also showcase Undoing, first premiered in London, UK in 2015 originally set for an art gallery, and now reset to stage for its New York debut. The piece uses multimedia to explore the media’s influence and response to the Israel Palestinian conflicts.

Join the company for an evening of provocative choreography as they question What Works?
